Text: "Deinde post festum sancti Laurentii, Edwardus Baliel rex Scociae cum quaestoribus & aliis qui se dederant ad pacem regis perrexit ultra mare Scociae circiter xxvj-mille hominum bene arraitorum vastando & depraedando & ad libitum quicquid volebant capiendo; & morabanter ibidem per totam hiemem totam patriam habentes in quiete." Translation: "Then, after the Feast of St Lawrence, Edward Baliel, King of Scotland, with his officials and the others who had dedicated themselves to peace, led beyond the sea of Scotland about 26.000 well-apparelled men, devastating and looting and capturing whatever else they wanted to, lingered through the whole winter, maintaining the (father)land in peace."
